    Make Sense of Data for Inspiration and Innovation

  • Jianxi Luo is a tenured Associate Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design, and directs the Data-Driven Innovation Lab. He is also the Director of SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme. Prof. Luo holds B.E. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Tsinghua University, and S.M. degree in Technology Policy and PhD degree in Engineering Systems (the track of Technology Management and Policy) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on innovation theories, methods and tools, and lately on Design Artificial Intelligence, or Artificial Intelligence for Design and Innovation. He has more than one hundred academic publications and won more than a dozen best paper and research awards from international associations. He had been a faculty member at New York University, visiting scholar at Columbia University and University of Cambridge, and Chair of INFORMS Technology Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship Section, and co-founder of several startups in the United States and Singapore. He serves as innovation advisor, trainer and public speaker for technology companies, government agencies, international organizations, startups and venture capitals.
