      Jianxi Luo is a tenured Associate Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design, Director of Data-Driven Innovation Lab, and former Director of SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme. Internationally, he is an Associate Editor of Design Science, Associate Editor of Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis and Manufacturing, Department Editor of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Guest Editor of Technovation, and editorial board member of Research in Engineering Design.

       

      Professor Luo is ranked among world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier, for his research on data-driven innovation and artificial intelligence for engineering design. His work has been adopted by various firms around the world, and received over a dozen awards from international academic societies. He has (co-)authored over 130 articles and given over 90 invited talks at more than 50 universities, firms and governments around the world. His teaching is focused on design thinking, system thinking, entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership.

       

      Previously, he had been a faculty member at New York University, visiting scholar at Columbia University and Cambridge University, and Chair of INFORMS Technology Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship Section. He also had brief work or consulting experience with EDF, WEF, ADB and Toyota. He holds a Ph.D. in "Engineering Systems: Technology, Management, and Policy" and S.M. in "Technology and Policy" from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.S. and B.E. degrees in engineering from Tsinghua University.
